Privacy

SaloniLabs is run by Christos Zinonos in Bergen, Norway. Norwegian and EU law requires the person responsible for your data to be named, and until the business is registered as a company that person is me rather than an organisation.

For anything about your data, email hello@salonilabs.com. I answer these myself.

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your shop and city, and your message.

If you only read the site, the single thing recorded is an anonymous page view through Vercel Web Analytics: which page was opened, roughly which country, and what kind of device. It cannot identify you, it sets nothing in your browser, and it reports to this domain rather than to an advertising company.

There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising code, and no third-party script. The fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so no request leaves this domain while you browse.

When we start working together, I store your shop's name and your contact details: your name, phone number and email address. You get a private link to your shop's own form, and what you fill in there is stored with your shop, to build your website from.

It is kept in a database run by Supabase, on servers in Ireland, inside the EU. Only I can open it. Each shop's private link opens that shop's form and nobody else's.

When your private link is opened, I note what kind of device opened it (for example "iPhone, Safari") and roughly where: the city and country your internet connection points to. The internet address itself is not kept. It shows me the link reached you, and would show me if it reached someone else.

The basis is our agreement: you asked for a website, and these are the details needed to build it.

There are none. This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why you were not shown a cookie banner, and it is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: the analytics were picked specifically because they work without cookies.

To reply to you. You asked to be contacted, so the basis is your request and my legitimate interest in answering it.

Your details are never sold, never shared for marketing, and never added to a mailing list.

Your message arrives as an email and stays in my inbox the way any email does. Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within two years.

A shop's details are kept while I look after its website. Details of shops that don't go ahead are deleted within 12 months. When I delete a shop, it is kept for 30 more days in case it was a mistake, then removed for good.

Ask me to delete it sooner and I will, no reason needed.

These services are involved. None of them are given your data for their own purposes.

You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@salonilabs.com and I will action it.

If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, at datatilsynet.no.

If this site ever starts collecting more than it does today, this page gets updated before that happens, and the date at the top changes.
