Privacy
This site collects almost nothing. The short version: if you fill in the contact form, I get an email so I can reply to you. Nothing else is collected, and nothing is tracked.
Who is responsible
SaloniLabs is run by Christos Zinonos in Bergen, Norway. Norwegian and EU law requires the person responsible for your data to be named, and until the business is registered as a company that person is me rather than an organisation.
For anything about your data, email hello@salonilabs.com. I answer these myself.
What is collected
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, your shop and city, and your message.
If you only read the site, the single thing recorded is an anonymous page view through Vercel Web Analytics: which page was opened, roughly which country, and what kind of device. It cannot identify you, it sets nothing in your browser, and it reports to this domain rather than to an advertising company.
There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, no advertising code, and no third-party script. The fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so no request leaves this domain while you browse.
Cookies
There are none. This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why you were not shown a cookie banner, and it is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight: the analytics were picked specifically because they work without cookies.
Why it is collected, and on what basis
To reply to you. You asked to be contacted, so the basis is your request and my legitimate interest in answering it.
Your details are never sold, never shared for marketing, and never added to a mailing list.
How long it is kept
Your message arrives as an email and stays in my inbox the way any email does. Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within two years.
Ask me to delete it sooner and I will, no reason needed.
Who else handles it
Three services are involved in getting your message to me. None of them are given your data for their own purposes.
- Vercel — hosts this website, runs the contact form, and provides the anonymous page-view counts.
- Resend, which uses Amazon SES — delivers the form as an email to me.
- Cloudflare — provides the domain records and routes email sent to hello@salonilabs.com.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@salonilabs.com and I will action it.
If you are not satisfied with how I handle it, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, at datatilsynet.no.
Changes
If this site ever starts collecting more than it does today, this page gets updated before that happens, and the date at the top changes.
